Ronald J. Erwin

Ronald Joseph Erwin, our strong and courageous father and papa, true servant of God, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 17, 2018. He was born October 5, 1953 to Benjamin and Mattie Erwin in Detroit, Michigan and was the youngest of three children.

Ron was a Friend of Bill’s for over 32 years of sobriety. He devoted many of those years serving others as well as being on the Board of Directors of the NCA. Ron was an MSU alumni and a true green Spartan. He was employed by DART Corporation in Mason for 18 years as a Quality Assurance supervisor. He traveled around the world for work – Australia was his favorite destination. He also traveled with his wife of over 30 years, Ruth. They discovered many new places in their adventures.

Ron is survived by his wife, Ruth Erwin. Ron was a proud father of Rose Thompson, Erin (Steve) Antaya, Anna (Damon) Williams, Marissa (Craig) Hendee, and Aleah Erwin. He was a super proud “knower of everything grandpa-ish” to his grandkids, James, Tatiana, Jonah, Samuel, Isabel, Jake, Amyah, and Matthew. He is also survived by his sister, Carmen Watson.

Memorial Service is 2:30 PM Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. The family will receive friends 1:30 – 2:30 PM Thursday prior to the service.
