He is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 72 years, Bernice (Hopkins) Wallace; son, Richard Wallace; and daughter, Judy Smally.
Robert worked for Consumers Energy, and retired after 42 years of service. He devoted his retirement to his wife Bernice by traveling with her around the United States and taking care of her while she was sick. Bernice passed away in 2018.
Robert and Bernice were members of Immaculate Heart of Mary for many years.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Barbara Tabor, Sandra (Bob) Fish, Robert (Susan) Wallace, Linda (Larry) DeWitt, and Vicki (John) Overla; 19 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Jack Hopkins.
A private family service will be held.
