Born March 27, 1921 in Bryan, OH, the son of William and Katherine Chrisman, passed away peacefully February 19, 2012 at the age of 90. He graduated from Edon High School in Edon, OH and served his country in the US Army during WWII. He was employed in retail sales for 47 years working for Central Stores, Whalen Distributing and Fulton Radio Supply over the years. He also served as a special deputy sheriff for Ingham County. Mr. Chrisman was a member of Emanuel First Lutheran Church for nearly 60 years. He will be remembered as a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by brothers, Denver, William and Edgar; sisters, Freida, Anna and Helen; and grandson, Kaleb. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 64 years, Donyla (Knauf); daughters, Robyn (James) Sheely, Ronda (George) Kritas, Roslyn Tobias and Rochane Cotter; son, Robert A. (Diane) Chrisman, brother, Wayne (Rosie) Chrisman of Ohio; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Emanuel First Lutheran Church, 1001 Capitol Ave., Lansing, MI 48906. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E.
