Richard Allen Stauffer

Richard “Dick” Allen Stauffer was born May 3, 1940 in Lansing to loving parents, John and Helen (Dunkel) Stauffer and was called to Heaven on March 2, 2022. Richard was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Donora (Peabody) Stauffer; his parents and his brother John (Jack). He is survived by his children, son, Richard (Katrina) Stauffer Jr., daughter, and Pamela (Benjamin) Peet; grandchildren Nathaneil, Joshua, Elijah, Timothy-John, Alexis, and Peyton; and great-grandchildren, Arthur, Aurora, Mordred, and Remiel. He is survived by his sister Patricia Zangmeister and brother-in-law Micheal (Karen) Odenwald.

Richard married Donora on September 21, 1962, in Lansing, MI where they spent most of their lives together. For many years, he and Donora spent Labor Day Weekends at St. Ignace during the Dockside Craft Show where Richard would display his beautiful woodworking crafts. Richard and Donora enjoyed going to many music concerts, drama performances and always lending a hand to those in need. Richard enjoyed camping and spending time outdoors. But most of all, spending time with his family is what brought him the most joy.

A visitation for Richard will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Central Free Methodist Church, 828 N Washington Ave, Lansing, MI 48906. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, March 8, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 828 N Washington Ave, Lansing, MI 48906. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, March 8, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 4444 W Grand River Ave, Lansing, MI 48906.
