of Lansing, MichiganOur loving husband, dedicated father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away at his home June 3, 2007 at the age of 73. Born March 12, 1934 in Lansing, Richard was the son of Irving and Arabelle (Pringle) Richey. He retired after 45 years as owner and operator of Rich?s Delivery Service. This was a family business started by his father and he was very proud of that. Richard was a Veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #1039, and a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church. His hobbies included golfing, fishing, bowling, hunting, baseball and He loved coaching. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joan (Roggerman) Richey; children, Neal (Sally), David, Mark (Amy), Scott (Nicole) Richey; grandchildren, Kaitlin, Jeremy, Tony, Joshua, Brandon, Kaleb, Cody, Chelsea; great-grandchildren, Bryan, Jalen, Santiago; siblings, David, Delores, Neal Wright, Marietta; sister-in-law, Janet (Charles) Wright; many nieces and nephews. Visitation is 4-8pm Wednesday, June 6, 2007 with a Scripture Service 7pm at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 West Saginaw, Lansing 48917. The Funeral Liturgy is 1:00pm Thursday, June 7, 2007 at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 W. Willow Hwy, Lansing with Father John P. Klein presiding. There will be visitation from 12-1pm Thursday at the church before the service. Rite of Commital is Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens with Military Honors by Morley S. Oates V.F.W. Post #701. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, St. Gerard Catholic Church in memory of Richard.
