Richard Wayne Abendroth

Richard W. Abendroth passed away on Friday, April 8, 2011 at the age of 80. He was born April 7, 1931 in Lansing. Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Brookie; son, Roland; parents, Sarah Elizabeth and Herbert G. Abendroth; stepmother, Marian; brothers, Ralph (Clara) Abenroth and David K. Abendroth. He served in the U.S. Air Force in B-29 Bombers, during the Korean War. Richard is survived by his son, David Abendroth; sisters, Jeanne Kuhfal, Alice C. (Donald W.) Gillson; brother, Gary Abendroth and numerous other relatives. In his business life he was a decorator and Owner Operator of Colorama, a paint and wallpaper store. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2:00 pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave, Lansing with Rev. Stephen Ezop officiating. Visitation will be held Monday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
