Paul Edgar Vermillion II, 69, of Lansing, passed away Monday, August 13, 2018 in Lansing, Michigan. Born October 2, 1948 in Big Rapids, Michigan to Paul E. and Molly (Shannon) Vermillion, Paul was a proud veteran who retired from GM after many years of service. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and especially fishing. He was a gifted artist, and his paintings, drawings, and caricatures were treasured by many.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vicki Ann and sister, Jane Hulse.
He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Lisa Vermillion, Christina “Chris” (Pat) Zopf, and Amanda “Mandy” (David) Bordayo; his grandchildren, Macie, Dylan, Brandon, Nicholas, Mallory, Aiden, and Isabelle; his sisters, Fran (Doug) Shooltz and Bonnie Brady; and his brothers, Charles (Kim) Vermillion and Mark Vermillion; brother-in-law, Richard Hulse; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 11:00am at St. Therese Church, 102 W. Randolph St. in Lansing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Mass at church, and on Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 2pm until 4pm and again from 6pm until 8pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Lansing. Serving as pall bearers will be Pat Zopf, Nick Zopf, Dylan Zopf, Brandon Jones, Keith Shooltz, Kevin Vermillion, and honorary pall bearer, Aiden Bordayo.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Paul's friends, Randy Howard and Jim Johnson, for all of their support during this difficult time.
