We have so many great memories of you, Grandpa. Where to begin?

I remember you introduced me to your friends at the diner up north as your oriental great granddaughter. It was quite funny! And what about the grilled squid? Do you remember that, Grandpa?  Everytime we came up north, we had to make sure to bring some squid for you! Oh boy! I don’t know if we can talk about the boots story? Haha! I will never forget! I will forever give you hard time on that one! I can picture you saying “I was just looking at her boots” all over again! That story will never fade from my memories. I caught you!! Haha!

Michael is a man of few words but if he could  tell you. He would say that he loves all the “American” Factory and cars talk with you by the campfire. We even remember you gave the approval that I had found a “real American” man. Haha! And of course when we got rid of the Honda and got the Dodge Ram it seems to have made your day, and you high fives on it, Haha! Oh, Grandpa. 

And since Christmas is right around the corner. I know how much you loved your watch that we got you for Christmas, i remember grandma told me you made a big fuss when it got lost one time. It makes me happy that you cherished that watch. The smile that you gave us, says it all. 

You were one of a kind. And that’s why we love you. You will be dearly missed and always forever in our hearts.

Grandpa was amazed at his goofy grandkids, and his rebel children. Our personalities made for comical trips and grandpas strong hand steering the ship. Grandpa telling Grandma to let the boys go, you kissed them already. Grandma never wanting to let us go. His love for us all showed in his proud smile.  That smile when an awkward "noise" at dinner, trips, car rides, or any family function by his grandsons would make him mad but laugh so hard. While the girls all cringed!  That smile was always close by, years and 1000s of miles away he has always been with each of us. His wise seriousness was always broken with a big grin of pride for us, all of us, from near or far.
Grandpa, Your guidance shall continue to lead me through life. Your loving presence will never fade. 

He was a great man always welcomed me every time I seen him with a big hug. He love to pick on me especially my first time to cabin and told me to be careful of the sand monster. I enjoy all of our trip to the cabin not going to be the same without. I am so sorry for the families loss of a great man I love you grandpa

Thinking of you all in the days ahead. Uncle Paul was a very nice man, with a great smile and a heart of gold. Please keep those memories close to your heart.

Never a man with a game plan, just an “off a whim” kinda style when it came to travel. We really never knew where we were going, just that we would end up somewhere. Lol made for really unique and fun adventures like mackinaw island, soo locks, and whitefish bay. Just to name a few. Those trips will always be a special place in my heart. Stories, history, always waiting to see what was up his sleeve. Will definitely miss all of it but will always have them to remember.


Uncle Paul was an awesome guy. I have very fond memories of him, even during my younger years. He will be missed by many. Prayers and Thoughts for the family from all in Tennessee.
