Born to Marvin and Sharon (Riley) Ackley on March 18, 1964 in Lincoln, Nebraska, Paul grew up in the Lansing, Michigan area. He graduated from Ferris State University and then worked as a Design Engineer at Wohlert Corporation in Lansing. After the company closed, Paul returned to Ferris, earned a bachelor's degree, and then began work as a Product Design Engineer at Pratt and Whitney Corporation in Lansing.
He was a music aficionado and enjoyed attending concerts. He also enjoyed golf, fishing, and spending time on the beach in Florida.
Paul is survived by his parents; his brother, Timothy (Diane) Ackley; and nephew, Nicholas Ackley.
Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home has arranged cremation.
