

Dr. Patrick Robert Nakfoor, 86, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 in Lansing, Michigan. A lifelong Lansing resident, Dr. Nakfoor was born July 27, 1934 in Lansing to Abraham and Eugenie (Nofal) Nakfoor. After graduating from St. Mary High School, he attended the University of Notre Dame on a football scholarship. Following the completion of his Bachelor's Degree at Notre Dame, Patrick graduated from the University of Michigan Dental School. He then served in the Air Force as a dentist before attending Loyola University, where he obtained a Masters of Science in Orthodontics. He returned to Lansing where he worked as an orthodontist for over 30 years. He was a founding member of the Lansing-Waverly Rotary and a member of the Notre Dame Club of Lansing.
While his work and career were important to Dr. Nakfoor, the greatest joy of his life was his dear family. He enjoyed sharing his passion for skiing and golfing with his friends and family, enjoying simply being present with those he loved.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Dominic Spinazze; his siblings, Emil Nakfoor and Dr. Bruce Nakfoor; and his parents.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Carol (Macksood) Nakfoor; his children, Dr. Cheryl (Dr. Russell Spinazze) Nakfoor, Kara Nakfoor, Brett (Jessica) Nakfoor, Holly (Vivek) Kohli, Dr. Bryan (Dr. Jennifer Silc) Nakfoor, and Joy Nakfoor; his grandchildren, Gabriella and Isabella Spinazze, Theo and Daphne Nakfoor, Alana and Alexander Kohli, and Morgan and Grant Nakfoor; his sister, Nancy (John) Marshall; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 W Willow Hwy in Lansing at 11am. Those desiring may view the Mass at https://www.facebook.com/GorslineLansing/
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 11, 2021 from 5pm until 8pm at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw St. in Lansing, with a Rosary to be prayed at 7pm. Covid-19 protocol for services: masks are required for non-vaccinated individuals, social distancing.
