Orval Calvin "Jake" Wright

Born to Orval C. and Merceda (Enghoffer), March 21, 1953.

He was a University of Michigan fan and for many years was a season ticket holder for the football games. Jake was an avid bowler throughout the Lansing area for many years and also attending National tournaments for 25 years around the US, was also a youth bowling coach at Pro Bowl East. Jake would love to take rides on his motorcycle and go camping; he also enjoyed his weekly cribbage league that traveled around the Lansing area. His woodworking art was outstanding with different creations that he would build by hand. Jake’s other hobbies included golfing with his dad and fishing when they could get a weekend to go out on the boat. Jake and his mom would make yearly visits up to the UP to Detour and Wolverine to decorate the graves of his Great Grandfather and Great Grandmother.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his parents, Orval and Merceda; his feline babies, Pixie and Dixie, as they were his life; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family would like to give special thanks to Sparrow Mid-Michigan Hospice. The family requests, in Jake’s honor, please wear maze and blue to the visitation and service.
