Nick Louis Joseph, age 71, of Lansing, Michigan, passed away surrounded by the loving embrace of his close family on Sunday, May 5, 2024. Nick was born on August 15, 1952, in Lansing, Michigan, to Charlie and Una Joseph (Horaney).
Nick earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University. He dedicated several years of his career working at Westlund’s Apple Market (formerly Mike’s Shop Rite) as the produce manager where he worked alongside his father. Later, he continued his career at Meijer Okemos until his retirement in early 2020. Nick's friendly and sociable nature endeared him to the community, and he cherished the relationships he built with customers from all walks of life. In his leisure time, Nick found joy in collecting Lionel trains, taking long walks, and vacationing with his family up north at Higgins Lake and Gwinn, Michigan. However, Nick's greatest source of pride and fulfillment was his family — he was a devoted husband and father.
Nick was preceded in death by his adoring parents and his beloved wife of nearly 39 years, Nikki Joseph (Kamar). He leaves behind his two sons, Charles Joseph and Mark Joseph (Matthew McDonell); his brother, Rick (Kathy) Joseph, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family expresses profound gratitude to the caregivers at Brookdale Delta Memory Care for their unwavering dedication and compassionate care, and to the exceptional team at Hospice of Lansing for providing Nick with comfort and dignity during his final months.
Nick will be fondly remembered by many for his sense of humor, his kind-hearted nature, and his generous spirit and he will now find eternal peace in God’s embrace.
