Nathan “DP” Wayne Delapaz was born October 10, 1989 to Tim & Lori Delapaz, and passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at the age of 27. Nathan had eclectic and varied interests and tastes. He was a member of the Mason-Holt Eagles, had a permanent barstool at Leo’s Lodge, loved Harry Potter, Miller Lite, and Michigan football. He had one of the best laughs and when he hugged you he truly meant it. Nathan was a Corrections Officer for the State of Michigan for nearly 5 years and his brothers and sisters at MDOC truly are family in and of themselves.
He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Lori Ann Pepera; sister, Kimberly Delapaz; grandmother, Brenda Delapaz; and grandfather, Thomas Pepera. He will be remembered by his loving wife, Chelsy Delapaz; "his baby" Lunapup, father, Tim (Taylor) Delapaz; Brothers, Blake Delapaz, Brayden Delapaz, Cruz Delapaz and Elijah Dangler; sisters, Melissa Dangler and Alana Dangler; father-in-law, Charlie Miller; mother-in-law, Jami Miller, sister in-law, Kylie "Kyle" Miller; brother in-law Charlie Miller; nephew, Jeremiah "Jerry" Kelly; grandmother, Mary Lou Pepera; and grandfather, Lupe Delapaz. Nathan also leaves behind several friends, aunts, uncles and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday,
December 19, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Mason-Holt Eagles, 1111 N. Cedar St. Mason, Michigan 48854. The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel.
