Nancy Mae Graham, 77, passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, April 1, 2019 in Lansing, Michigan. Nancy was born July 11, 1941 to Oscar and Rose (Warner) Shooter in Howell, Michigan. A proud member of the First Nations Walpole Island Band, Nancy enjoyed participating in Pow-Wows, dancing, and staying active with her tribe. She loved animals and had a heart for rescuing cats and dogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Benjamin; her brother, Dwayne Shooter; and her sister, Lorna Simpson.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Janis Westrum, Carol (Eric) Schroeder, Charlotte (Rich Wegienka) Woodbury, Robert Graham, and William Graham; her grandchildren, Caris (Shawn), Cayle (Dakota), Chris (Jodie), Shelby (Joe), Zachary, and Jacob; her great-grandchildren, Lilly, Carter, Nicholas “Pickles”, Haylee, Charlie, Ella, Emma, and Willa; her ex-sons-in-law, Chuck Woodbury and Gard Westrum; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
A Celebration of Nancy's life will be held on April 19, 2019 at 5:00pm at the Hannah Community Center, Banquet Hall, 819 Abbot Road, East Lansing, Michigan.
