Born in Paris, France, and proudly embracing his Greek heritage, Michael's journey was one marked by a deep love for music, a sense of adventure, and an unwavering commitment to his passions.
A graduate of Cleary College, Michael earned an Associate's Degree in Business Administration, showcasing not only his artistic prowess but also his dedication to academic excellence.
Since 1980, Michael called various places home, leaving a mark on the musical landscape in New York, Denver, Warren, Ann Arbor, and Lansing. A dedicated musician, he was involved in numerous musical endeavors that showcased his extraordinary talents. Michael was a proud member of the South High Choir, a drummer in the Choir Jazz Group, and a participant in the Acapella Choir, MCCC, and LCC.
Michael was a member of many musical groups, such as Labyrinth, Melting Pot, Jammer, MR.J Chace, Ritmo, Sammy Gold, Fastpitch, Aris, Ricky & Nikki, Kathy Ford Band, Peggy and the Po'Boys, Unity Jazz Band, Solo Session Artist, Possum Holler and Blind Ambition.
His career in the music industry was distinguished, with a five-year tenure at Recording Fee Records, a division of Motown. Michael also lent his skills to Cloudborn Studios in Detroit, contributing to album production and commercial tracks. His work extended to WGPR Channel 63, where he made live appearances and promoted records, showcasing his versatility and dedication to his craft.
A member of esteemed organizations such as AFTRA, ASCAP, BMI, and AFM Local 5 of Detroit, Michael was a well-respected figure in the music community. He collaborated with LA Productions in Lansing as a session musician and vocalist, leaving an imprint on various projects, including the renowned La Batterie Drum Concert: A Mike Daniels Presents Production.
Michael's passion for music took him on extensive journeys across the United States, touring coast to coast twice with the US Air Force CERO Tour and recording promo. His travels extended to Canada and Greenland, where he made significant contributions to the musical landscape on Air Force CERO tours and recording promo.
In addition to his musical endeavors, Michael excelled in his daytime role as a Sound System Tech and Installer. His expertise as a sound man, handling both front of house and monitor mixes, further solidified his reputation as a professional dedicated to perfecting the auditory experience.
Michael enjoyed the great outdoors, traveling, and was a sci-fi fan. Those who were fortunate enough to know Michael will undoubtedly recall his fun-loving nature, kind-hearted spirit, and generous soul. His sense of humor was infectious, bringing joy to those around him, and his talent, both as a musician and in various other pursuits, left an enduring impact on all who had the privilege of witnessing his creativity in action.
Michael is survived by his life partner Jeanne Pula; son William G. Rosetos; sister Cassandra Fenstermacher; brother-in-law Rick; stepdaughters Claire Bujol and Cristine Pula; step grandchildren Madi, Livi, Rachel, Ryan, Bryon and Hunter; son-in-laws Chriss Bujol and Nick Adams; dear friends Marlene Kohlmeyer, Kenneth Feldpausch, Steve Edwards, Kathy Ford, Bill Fuller, Paul EO and many more.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday April 7, 2024 from 4pm - 7pm at Reno's North 16460 S US Highway 27 Lansing, MI 48906. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ingham County Animal Shelter in memory of Michael.
Per Michael's wishes, he would like to thank his Mom & Dad; son Will, (who had to travel with him while growing up); his sister Cass and Uncle Rick; his muse: Jeanne; his mentor, guru and closest friend Steve Edwards (who understands horsepower better than anyone!), Kathy, Elayne (miss her laugh), Peggy, Bill Fuller, Mike & Joanie Daniels; Mike Eyie; Paul, EO; Dan Gould; Ricky & Nikki; Frog; Ed Fedewa, Bill Malone, Bobby Gardner, Boonie, Eric, Dave Hilburn & Jeff Arnold, and the Amazing Mike Skory. To all musicians, fans, significant others he's known during the last 43 years. You are all sources of inspiration and love to him, and it was always an honor to perform with and for you!
