Michael G. Miller

Perry, Michigan

Age 71, our loving husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away on December 10, 2017. He was born September 24, 1946 to Howard and Wynell (Harmon) Miller. Michael married Phyllis Dunn on January 10, 1970. They were one month shy of celebrating 48 cherished years together. He was a production worker at Huntsman Specialty Chemicals for 38 years. When he retired, he enjoyed spending time camping, fishing, and golfing. Being an avid fisherman, Michael was given the Master Angler award for catching a 33 pound salmon, which is mounted at his residence as a treasured trophy. Michael loved listening to Elvis Presley, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be forever loved and missed by his family and many friends.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Howard Miller and Wynell Dyer, and his sister, Joan Elliott. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; son, Jerry (Paula) Miller of Perry, MI; daughter, Michelle (Patrick) Lewis of Avon, IN; brothers, David (Mary Jo) Miller, and Jerry Cole; and sister, Judy (John) Veverka. He was a proud grandfather to Taylor, Lydia, Jayson, Elaina, and Gabriella "Gabby." He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will take place 12-4 PM Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the Blue Gill Grill, 1591 Lake Lansing Road in Haslett, MI. The family wishes to give special thanks to the Staff at Hospice House of Lansing for their loving care.
