Michael worked for Demmer Corporation in Lansing as an Aerospace & Defense Machinist for over 40 years. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps for 4 years. Michael had many interests, he loved to work out, camp, was known as a Grill Master, a movie enthusiast, and enjoyed playing golf. He was a gun collector, a coin collector and an avid sports fan, especially watching the Detroit Lions, the Detroit Tigers and MSU Basketball. He will be fondly remembered as a hard worker and quiet but funny man who loved a good baseball hat. Educating others brought him great joy. Most importantly, Michael loved the time that he spent with his family, his family was his life.
Michael was a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather and brother. He is survived by his wife, Penny Monroe; children, Ashley Alleshouse, Amy (Tyler) Langoni, Lindsey (Ryan Burl) Barry, Ashley (Stewart Brainard) Wickham and Amanda Reed; grandchildren, Addison Alleshouse, Giavanna Langoni, Mackynzie, Wyatt and Remington Reed; siblings, Cathy (Gary) Nobach, Cindy (Terry) Landis, Patrick (Michael Archibald) Barry, Chris (Marti Sims) Barry; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Tiffany Funeral Home, Lansing. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Wednesday from 11-1 PM at the Funeral Home.
