Max Allen Grove passed away on December 30, 2020 of pancreatitis after a short illness. Max was born June 24, 1942 in Clinton County to Lynn and Beatrice (Ockert) Grove. He was a graduate of Dimondale High School in 1960 and worked for Sears as a HVAC-R Tech for thirty-eight years before retiring in 1998.
Max loved going to yearly hamventions and talking with ham radio enthusiasts, spending time at his cabin in the woods near Scottville and deer hunting. He got his deer this year just 3 weeks before his death. He also loved traveling and helping others.
Max is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marilyn (Kyes), sons Steven and Christopher Grove, grandson Cameron Grove, sister Jeanette Farr (Grove), brothers-in-law Ron Willcutt, and Douglas Kyes, Sisters-in-law Brigitte Kyes and Connie Kyes, and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Vern Grove, sister June Willcutt and sister-in-law Ruby Cornell.
Because of the Pandemic, there will be no social gathering. We will have a graveside service on January 14, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Delta Hillside cemetery, 7301 W. St. Joe Hwy, east of Canal Road. Please wear a mask.
The family is being served by the Tiffany Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place.
