MaryLee Kathleen Cole

She was preceded in death by her father, Allie; mother, Jackie; sisters, Betty Jo and Debbie; and 2 grandsons, Bernabe and Christopher Jr. MaryLee was survived by her children, Travis Shearer, Joshua Shearer, Christopher Smith, Erica Bigford, Jessica Benavidez, Destiniee Hagebock, Savannah Garcia, and Caleb Cole; her stepchildren, Leeray "Inky" Smith, Randy Smith, Kenneth Deshepard, Angie Haley, and Cassandra Cole; siblings, Melody Shultz, Michael Shearer, and Lora Wurn; as well as 42 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

MaryLee was a loving and giving mother, who enjoyed any time she could spend with family and never turned down the opportunity to help someone in need. She loved baking, country music, and the Hallmark movie channel and was known for losing in Mario brothers and stabbing someone with her sharp elbow. MaryLee passed far too young and will be missed by so many.

A visitation will be held on Monday, February 13, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, with a prayer service to conclude starting at 3:00 PM, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Lansing Chapel, 900 E Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI 48912.
