Mary Gail Morris

Mary Gail Morris, age 78, passed away August 18, 2020. Mary was born July 16, 1942 to Kenneth and Pauline (Beninda) Mason in Detroit, Michigan where she was raised. She married and had a son with ex-husband, Glenn Hansen Sr. Mary was very proud of her son, Glenn Jr. and his military service in the army.

Mary had numerous waitressing jobs and worked as a meat slicer at Farmer Jack for many years until her retirement. She was a proud union member, UFCW local 876. In her retirement years, she enjoyed working as a lunch aide for the Stockbridge Community Schools.

Mary loved being a grandma and a great grandma. The grand children called her "GG" for Grandma Gail.

She spent the last 37 years with her long term partner and love, Roger Uchergi. Mary preferred the quiet of the countryside over living in the busy city. She loved to cheer on the Detroit Tigers, especially her favorite player, Miguel Cabrera.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; ex-husbands , Glenn Hansen Sr., Paul Stennett and Walter Morris.

Mary will be lovingly remembered by her son, Glenn (Donna) Hansen Jr.; grandchildren, Andrea, Brian, Eric (Amber), and Joshua; great grandchildren, Oscar, Zachary, Brenden, and Ava; brother, Don Mason; and nephew, Joel (Trisha) Mason; her partner of 37 years, Roger Uchergi; and her extended Stockbridge school family.
