Martha Ann Wampler, 82. It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Martha Ann Wampler. Martha passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side on March 5, 2025. Martha was born on December 16,1942 in Barren Springs, Virginia to the late Eugene and Bess Wampler.
Martha grew up in High Point, North Carolina, and was so proud of her R.N. degree. Martha was a woman of God. Her love of people and nurturing spirit came through during her 42 year nursing career. She made a lasting impact on the countless lives she helped while working at Sparrow Hospital. Martha’s Southern charm and charismatic personality made her someone you wanted to be around. Her Southern accent was always a large part of who she was. She was so proud of her Southern roots and her family.
She enjoyed dancing, gardening and travel, as well as reading and playing card and board games.
Martha is survived by her two daughters, Sandy Gendich, of Petoskey, Michigan and Pamela Dziesupek of Mason, Michigan; her two grandchildren Nathaniel Keane of Colorado, and Ella Gendich of Lansing, Michigan. Martha is survived by her oldest of 5 siblings, Dr. Garland Wampler, (MaryAnn, deceased), of Burnsville, NC.
She is preceded in death by her sister Emma Money, and brothers Norman, Clayton, and Joseph Wampler.
Martha will be laid to rest in High Point, North Carolina next to her siblings Emma Money and Norman Wampler.
