Martha Hawley

Martha E. Hawley was born on January 21, 1924 in Charter Oak, Missouri, the daughter of the late Joseph and Rosie Hawley, and passed away on October 20, 2015 at the age of 91. She moved to Lansing from Missouri in 1950 and attended Bethel Baptist Church. The family would like to thank the staff at Country Corner Care in Potterville for the wonderful care they have given to Martha for the last five years. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, and sisters; husband of 43 years, Melvin, in 1989; and son, Mark D. in 2012. Surviving to cherish her memory are her son, Donald G. (Nancy) Hawley; two grandchildren, Charity Ann Hawley and Kristopher (Brandy) Hawley; and three great grandchildren, Kristopher, Drew, and Landyn Hawley. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 23, 2015 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, Michigan. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel.
