Mark Alan Peck, age 64, of Lansing, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. Mark was born March 18, 1957 in Traverse City to Duard and Mildred (Sheldon) Peck. After graduating from Michigan State University, Mark attended classes at Cooley Law School while also working as a page at the State Capitol. He also worked for 35 years as a financial planner and investment broker at Michigan Financial Group in East Lansing. He was joined by his step son Jason Legg, 10 years ago and he continues to serve their clients. Mark was also a Million Dollar Roundtable qualifier. Mark traveled the world sharing his accomplishments and encouraging others. He also was a motivational speaker, challenging listeners to persevere and grow into their potential that God made them to be. He had a quit whit, and was even seen doing open mic comedy routines around the Lansing area.
Outside of his work, Mark was a skilled builder of rockets and remote controlled model airplanes. He was a huge MSU fan and loved baseball. Mark never let his disability get in his way; traveling extensively, adventuring fearlessly (parasailing, anyone?), and impacting others for the better.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth Peck; his stepson, Ryan Legg; his father, Duard Peck; his mother, Mildred (Sheldon) Peck; his stepmother, Doris Peck; and his siblings, Gwendolyn and Bruce.
Mark's memory will be cherished by his wife of 40 years, Kimberly (Fox) Peck; his stepson, Jason (Lisa) Legg; his grandchildren, Samantha, Cameron (Hannah), Madison, Benjamin, Molly, Robby, and Karson; his sisters, Brenda (the late Doug) Sheldon, Jenny (Ron) Ahlquist and Penny (Jim) Papka; his brothers-in-law, Bryan (Lynda) Fox and Michelle (Bill Martinez) Stevens and Blane (Dana) Fox; his sisters-in-law, Heather (Cory) Ames; and his former daughters-in-law, Terri Legg, Audra Legg and Mindy Legg.
