Margaret Elizabeth Helmer

Margaret Elizabeth Helmer, age 89, of Perry, Michigan passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022. She was born April 12, 1933 in Lansing, MI to Clyde M. and Delilah A. (Hungerford) Keep. She worked for Michigan Bell for 30 years. Margaret and her husband enjoyed hunting and raising champion Beagles, earning many trophies throughout the years. She loved watching deer from her back window. She was an active member of Woodview Church of the Nazarene and looked forward to summer church camp each year.

Surviving are her sister-in-law, Peggy (Hargrove) Keep; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald C. Helmer; brothers, Charles W. (June Lantis) Keep; sister, Treva M. (Clarence J.) Hagstrom; brother, Kenneth D. (Marilyn Mote) Keep.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Woodview Church of the Nazarene with visitation from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
