Luella Marie Bellon

Luella Marie Bellon, age 97, of Lansing, Michigan passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022. Luella was born March 5, 1924 in Allegan, Michigan, the daughter of Hudson and Marjorie (Walker) Stout. She was a graduate of Bloomingdale High School in Bloomingdale, MI. She worked at REO Motors where she supported the war effort, and later attended cosmetology school. For 40 years she worked at Bellon Sisters' Beauty Shop with her two sisters-in-law, Laverne Stump and Avis Shroyer. Luella enjoyed going up north, attending church activities, and spending time with family, especially her grandkids. She was the matriarch of the Stout family and was known as "Ma Bellon" to many friends and family.

Surviving are her son, Gerald (Renee) Bellon; daughter, Margo (Jay) Strong; grandchildren, Tara, Jerry, and Jimi (Suzanna) Bellon, Nick and Anna Strong; great-grandchildren, Samaira McDuffie, Liliana and Ivon Bellon; sisters, Mary Lou (Glen) Bontrager and Nancy Shaddy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Bellon; sons, Gary and Kenneth; brothers, Merlin, Rodney, Arlo, and Larry Stout; sister, Doreva Christner.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Grace United Methodist Church, 1900 Boston Blvd., Lansing, MI 48910 with visitation from 12:00pm until the time of service. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice House of Mid-Michigan, 1210 W. Saginaw, Lansing, MI 48915.
