Lola Ann Wright, 91, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 3, 2018. She was born March 12, 1927 in Dorena, Missouri to James Henry and Sarah Florence (Jones) Hardin. Lola was the last surviving charter member of Capitol City Baptist Church, and she was very active in the church. She had a great sense of humor and loved to garden, quilt by hand, and sing, especially Southern Gospel. When time allowed, Lola and her husband enjoyed traveling.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, B.W. Wright; her son, Michael Wright; and eleven siblings.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Scott (Carol) Wright; her daughter, Sheila (Fred) Ballou; her grandchildren, Benjamin (Karen), Aimee (Kurt), Timothy (Bobbie), Brian (Nichole), Kimberly; her eleven great-grandchildren; her sister, Lavernia and her twin sister, Lida.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 8, 2018 at 11am at Capitol City Baptist Church, 5100 W Willoughby Rd, Holt. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 3pm until 5pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing. Interment will follow in Deepdale Memorial Gardens in Lansing.
