Lee was born on October 8, 1942 in Munising, MI, the son of Leo LeVeque Sr. and Catherine (Paris) LeVeque. Following high school, Lee went on to proudly serve The United States of America in the navy. During his time in the navy, he received the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal for his actions in the Dominican Republic. It was during his time in the navy where he developed his love of traveling. After the military, and after quite a bit of years, Lee would find himself traveling to Italy, Alaska, Mexico, and his favorite place, Hawaii.
Lee worked for Fisher Body as a line worker and went on to work as a bus driver. Lee liked keeping busy. He liked to work. Lee took pride in his work ethic, and it is something he instilled in his children. He instilled in them to be hardworking, just as he was.
Lee married his love, Linda Margarita Davaloz on September 25, 1989 in Toledo, Ohio. Together, Lee and Linda built a family with strong values and a home that was always filled with love and laughter. Lee's love for Linda was like no other. Lee was an excellent father and grandfather. He adored family and being around family.
A big part of Lee's life was sports. He loved to play baseball, and he loved to watch the Tigers play. He even tried out for a professional baseball team. Lee loved coaching and teaching children how to play sports. He was a referee in his free time. Any part or role in the game, Lee loved.
A Memorial Mass for Lee will be celebrated 1PM June 15, 2023 at Cristo Rey Church, 201 W Miller Rd, Lansing, MI 48911. A visitation will be held an hour prior at the church.
Memorial contributions in Lee's honor may be made to Cristo Rey Church.
Lee is survived by his love, Linda Margarita Davaloz LeVeque; children, Wayne (Shalaunda) LeVeque, Scott (Kristi) LeVeque, Chenoa (Andrew) Reyes, Karen LeVeque, Amada (Thomas) Tenlen, and Juan (Stephanie) Davaloz; grandchildren, Cristian, Caitlin, Abigail, Anna, Benjamin, Maxwell, Jarred, John (McKenzie), Maria, Blake, Jayme, Taylor, Tyler, Thomas, Tristin, Tori, McKaylah, Kylie, Clay; and one great grandchild on the way; mother, Catherine LeVeque; siblings, Frank (Joanne) LeVeque, Dorothy (Gilbert) Snay, Alec (Louise) LeVeque, Jan (John) Davenport, Charles (Charmaine) LeVeque, Virginia (Gary) May, James (Sue) LeVeque, Robert LeVeque, Patrick (Lori) LeVeque, and William (Cindy) LeVeque, also numerous nieces and nephews.
Lee is preceded in death by his daughters, Maria and Margarita Reyes; father, Leo A. Leveque Sr.; and brother, Richard LeVeque.
