Leigh loved cats, bluegrass music, and was a self-proclaimed chocoholic. For many years Leigh enjoyed participating in DALMAC where she would ride her bike from Lansing to the Mackinaw Bridge. Leigh was strong in her faith and was a dedicated and exceptional Sunday school teacher and Youth Leader for over 30 years at her church, Wayside Chapel Ministries in Mason, Michigan. Leigh loved hockey and was a big Red Wings fan, she loved cheering on her team. She was loved and will be remembered by many.
Leigh Ann Hartman, age 53, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 16, 2022 in Lansing, Michigan surrounded by her loving family. Leigh graduated from Haslett High School with the class of 1987. She later attended Davenport University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
Leigh is preceded in death by her parents Merel and Irene Hartman, and her sister, Kathryn Hartman.
She is survived by her siblings, Keith R. (Carol) Hartman and Sheila (John) Hamilton; her nieces and nephews Steven (Angela) Hartman, Jennifer (Scott) Cole, Shannon (Jedidiah) Knopf, and Emily Whipple; and her great nieces and nephews Laura, Sarah, Luna and Zander, along with many other extended family members.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 24 from 5pm until 8pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes – Lansing Chapel, 900 East Michigan Avenue, Lansing, Michigan 48912. A Funeral Service will take place on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 1pm with visitation one hour prior to services starting at 12pm, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes – Lansing Chapel, 900 East Michigan Avenue, Lansing, Michigan 48912.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Leigh’s name to Psalm 91 Church, 7501 Coleman Road, East Lansing, Michigan 48823.
