Larry Lee Gray, aged 63, passed away on November 14, 2024, in his hometown of Lansing, MI. Born on November 11, 1961, in Lansing, Larry was known for his grounded personality and exceptional skills as a fisherman and maintenance man. Despite being deaf, he had a remarkable ability to communicate and express himself, which was admired by all who knew him.
Larry graduated from the Michigan School for the Deaf in Flint, MI, where he developed his lifelong passion for woodworking—a craft that brought him much joy and allowed him to connect with others through his intricate creations.
Family was the cornerstone of Larry’s life. He is survived by his loving wife, Melissa Gray; sisters Georgia Gray and Anna Gloyd; brothers James, David, and Abe Gray; niece JoAnn Hoffman; brother-in-law Doug Tafel; and many extended nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Sarah Gray, and brothers Harvey and John Gray.
Larry's life was a testament to the strength and resilience of the human spirit. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
