Kathleen “Kathy” Janet Sherman-Bartlett, 67, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2015 in Lansing, MI. She was born in Hollywood, CA to Bala and Daisy (Meentz) Szarka, and lived much of her life in the Lansing area. Kathy loved cooking and collected cookbooks, and enjoyed gardening. She was fun an outgoing, and always friendly to everyone she met.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hank Bartlett.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Wade Sherman; her granddaughter, Kamira N. Sherman; and her brother, Fred Szarka.
Funeral services will be held for Kathy on Monday, December 7, 2015 at 5:00 pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing. The family will welcome friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
