Mrs. Roper graduated from J.W. Sexton High School in 1960, and was married when she turned 20 years old. She was an avid reader; her favorite genre was science fiction. She was an avid animal lover and writer of poetry as well.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edith and Leonard Law; husband, Delbert Roper; and brother, James Law.
Surviving are her 4 daughters, Teresa Roper, DoriAnne Stehle, Amanda (Travis) Brown, and Angela Motz, all of Lansing; 1 son, Delbert Scott Roper, of Lansing; 4 grandchildren, Kendra (William) Stoddard, Adam Bates, Ivy Brown, Keeley-Anne Stehle; 2 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Donna Donally, of Ionia, Mary-Jo (Larry) Miller, of Crystal, Peg (Ron) Beckwith, of Lansing; 1 brother, Jerry (Trudy) Law, of Florida, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm Friday June 2nd at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Avenue, Lansing, with Kevin Roper officiating. Interment will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Okemos.
