Judy was born in Lansing, MI on April 20, 1941 and passed into glory on June 3rd, 2021, she was the daughter of Leona Vaughn Hawkins and Carl Delose Hawkins. Judy loved her brothers Jerry, John, Jim and was very close with her sister Jane.
She came to know the Lord at age 14 and was a child of God. Her heart carried the peace and comfort of the Lord and his promises.
On July 18th, 1959, Judy married her childhood sweetheart, Garey Bullock. Together they built a life of love and laughter. She was a devoted wife for 62 years and is survived by her husband Garey and three sons Randy (Barbra) Bullock of TX, Paul (Chris) Bullock of Morrice, MI and Boyd (Tara) Bullock of Charlotte, MI. Judy was blessed with 8 grandchildren and doubly blessed with 29 great grandchildren who all loved her very much.
Throughout her life she was a good friend and mentor to many young women; sharing her exceptional insight into life’s challenges. She had the gift of thoughtful, wise advice to all those who would seek it and was a true joy to be around. Judy was also very creative and a first rate artist, her beautiful paintings were well known all over town.
Judy did not wish to have a funeral service and we honor her wishes, but we all cherish our precious memories and the happiness she brought into our lives!
(Special thanks from the Bullock family to Brenda Barnett for writing this, you’ve always been good to us!)
