Joseph Montalvo

Montalvo, Joseph of Lansing, Michigan, died September 29, 2023. He is survived by his 4 children Lisa, Mariano, Brandon, and Nicholas; grandchildren Christine, Cameron, and Stephan (Lisa), Gianna and Mia (Nicholas and Cecily); great-grandchildren; mother (Frances Solis); his siblings, Esther Montalvo, Daniel Montalvo, Larry Montalvo, Frances B. Verwey, Agustin Montalvo, brother-in-law Douglas J. Austin; and three generations of nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father Mariano Montalvo, step-father Luis Solis, brothers Ricardo Montalvo, Alfredo Montalvo, and Abel Montalvo, and brother-in-law Russel E. Verwey Jr.

Joseph was born October 3, 1951 in Adrian, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Employed with Comfort Zone until his retirement. He loved his children and enjoyed spending time with family. He will be deeply missed and loved by those who knew him well. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses of WNICU at Sparrow Hospital for their amazing care. One hour viewing for immediate family only at Gorsline Runciman Chapel in Lansing, Joseph will have funeral service and be interred in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing.
