Joseph "Joe" Kulikowski, aged 70, passed away on September 21, 2024, in Lansing, Michigan. Born on February 14, 1954, in Grand Haven, Michigan, Joe was known for his vibrant personality and adventurous spirit.
Joe pursued his passion for the natural world at Michigan State University, earning bachelor’s degrees in Geology and Fisheries and Wildlife. His academic journey also included obtaining two associates degrees from Muskegon Community College. His career reflected his deep interest in these fields, contributing significantly to his community and profession.
An avid bicycler, photographer, and guitar player, Joe's hobbies were a big part of his life, bringing joy not only to him but also to those around him. He had a knack for capturing beautiful moments and landscapes, which he often shared with friends and family.
Joe is survived by his siblings, Edmund Kulikowski Jr., Patricia Scott, and William Kulikowski; nephews Ben Kulikowski, Peter Kulikowski, and Jon Michael Kulikowski (Aubrey); and nieces Sarah Kulikowski, Suzanna Kulikowski, and Katherine Kulikowski. His special friend, Katie Donnelly, will also fondly remember him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmund and MaryAnn Kulikowski.
Celebration of Life and Remembrance for Joe will be held 2-5 pm, Wednesday, October 30, at The Rollenhagen House, 6670 Leonard Street, Coopersville, MI 49404. Parking is available across the street.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to local public radio and television programs, supporting a cause Joe was passionate about. Joe's legacy of friendship, laughter, and love for the natural world will be remembered by all who knew him.
