Joanne C. Hills of Lansing, MI, age 77, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away on May 29th, 2023. Born August 18, 1945 at St. Mary’s Hospital, in San Francisco, California, the daughter of Leonard and Romilda Pung.
Joanne was a director of nurses and geriatric nurse for many years at Tendercare West and Whitehills HealthCare Center. She had many hobbies such as walking and reading, as well as a passion for family, faith, and friends.
Surviving are her sons, Thomas (Nancy) Hills, Robert (Yvette) Hills, David (Patricia) Hills and Steven Hills; grandchildren, Matthew, JonPaul, Abigail, Ethan, Jasper, and Beatrix; sisters, Rosemarie (Richard) DeLoof, and Karen Parker; brother, Kenneth (Linda) Pung; sister-in-law, Kathy Gromilovitz; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Joanne was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Pung; mother, Romilda Pung; brother, Joseph Pung; and brother-in-law, William Parker.
A funeral Mass for Joanne will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 at 11:00 AM, with a one-hour prior visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 102 W Randolph St., Lansing, MI 48906.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Therese Parish in memory of Joanne.
