Lansing, Michigan.
Born on July 1st, 1956 in Lansing, he was the son of Robert and Bonnie Wolfe. Jeff attended
Harry Hill High School in Lansing before enlisting in the United States Army in 1974. After his
service in the Army, Jeff was employed by General Motors until the mid 80’s. He then attended
Lansing Community College where he carried a 4.0 gpa and received his associates degree in
Surgical Technology. This led to employment at various medical buildings in the area with the
longest tenure being at Ingham Medical Center Greenlawn Campus. Jeff loved his job and was
proud of the work he did in this field.
Jeff was an avid MSU sports fan and was a long time MSU football season ticket holder. He was
also a lifelong fan of the Detroit Lions, Tigers, Pistons and Red Wings. Jeff was a big music fan
and especially enjoyed listening to Rock n Roll. Jeff started coaching youth football, basketball
and baseball in 1991 and continued coaching football at the high school and semi pro level until
2005, impacting many lives of young people along the way.
Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Bonnie Wolfe. He is survived by his wife of
43 years, Susan Wolfe; children, Sarah (Chris) Steer, Eric (Kaelee) Wolfe; grandchildren,
Isabella, Chloe, Kemp, Daisy, Aelan, Jolee, and Milo; brother Greg (Becky) Wolfe; sisters Jan
Sontag, Gail (Jeff) Russ; nieces Lindsey Sontag, Ashley Holcomb; nephews Jamison Russ,
Tyler Sontag, Cody Holcomb.
The funeral service will be held Monday, March 14th at 6pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral
Homes Lansing Chapel 900 E Michigan Ave, Lansing. Viewing and visitation will be held Sunday, March 13th from 3-7pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice
House of Lansing in Jeff's name.
