Jeane Harriet DeWitt

Jeane Harriet DeWitt, born May 23, 1918 in Lansing, Michigan, the daughter of Adelbert E. and Minnie Belle (Stoddard) Reckard, passed away October 28, 2013 at the age of 95. She attended Faith Church, was a member of the Ladies Auxillary VFW # 3727, and a life-long resident of Lansing. Jeane retired from the Board of Water and Light. She was a “Wonderful, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.” Jeane was, “Loved by all”. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald R. DeWitt Sr. and son, Donald J. Hagerman. Surviving to cherish her memory are her “Special Daughter”, Sue (Milt) Coon; son, David (Charlotte) Hagerman; and numerous beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 1, 2013 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, Michigan 48912. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery 2600 Mt. Hope, Lansing, Michigan 48910.
