James Anthony Piecuch

February 2, 1939 - August 12, 2019

Jim Piecuch died on Monday, August 12, 2019 in Lansing MI. He was 80 years old. A life long salesman, he passed peacefully in his sleep. Jim loved his family and had a love for life. He enjoyed bowling and playing golf. He was an avid sports fan who loved all the Detroit teams. He attended St. Michael Catholic Church in Grand Ledge, MI.

Jim was born on February 2, 1939 in Detroit MI., to the late Michael and Virginia (Brandt) Piecuch. He graduated from St. Agnes High School in Detroit MI. He was husband of the late Mary Jo (Sheppard). He was proceeded in death by sister Virginia (Howard) Ruelle, sister Delores (James) Bartlebaugh, sister Phyllis (J.B) Hunt, brother Robert (Margaret) Piecuch, sister Joanna (Robert) Geschwender, and granddaughter Emily Angela Piecuch.

Jim is survived by children Jim (Cathy) Grand Ledge MI, Joe (Kathy) Kalamazoo MI, Mary (Larry) Pingel DeWitt MI, Mike, West Chester OH, Chris (Shelly) Grand Ledge MI, 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, brother William (Debbi) Piecuch Portsmouth OH, and sister Patty (JR) Redfield Fowlerville MI.

A memorial mass will be held Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Gerard Church, 4337 W. Willow Hwy. Lansing MI 48917, with Father John Klein presiding.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice House of Mid-Michigan, 1210 w Saginaw St, Lansing MI, 48915 in Jim’s name.
