James Otto Handley moved on to his next life on June 10th, 2022. James was born in Lansing, Michigan on March 30th, 1945 to Marlene and Charles Handley who he preceded in death. He shared a home with one brother and two sisters during childhood. James started his own family when he was 17 years old. He was a hard worker at the local General Motors with an ear for music and enjoyment for the outdoors.
In his prime time, James smoked Marlboro red cigarettes, drank Budweiser and had a hell of a time! Today he is survived by children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren from his first marriage with Anna Diaz. Phyllis and Jamesina Handley, are his first born daughters, we are with them as they say farewell to the first man they ever loved.
Let us be thankful that he will join his two sons who he preceded in death, Jason & James Handley and recognize the grandchildren and great-grandchildren that spawned. His second marriage with Joanne Ritchie brought him two sons as well. James is survived by his adopted son Jason (Ritchie) Handley, daughter in law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. James Otto Handley spent his last days surrounded by love where he resided in Bath Township, Clinton County with his youngest son Joseph Jeremy Handley, daughter in law, grandson and two granddaughters. We mourn him but know that he is looking down on us and proud of how strong we are. We thank you for your service in the Marines James! Until we meet again!
The family is planning a celebration of life at a later date.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.grlansing.com for the Handley family.
