Born December 24, 1930 in Greenhill, TN, to James and Lillian Crews, passed away November 26, 2011 at the age of 80. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War and was a member of the VFW Post #701. He retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wives, Betty Jean Bracknell and Virginia Fisher; and his daughter, Deborah Withroe. Surviving are daughter, Janice C. Crews; sons, James E. Crews Jr., Michael D. Crews, and Bobby G. Crews; sister, Maude Looney; 7 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 2, 2011 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing.
