Age 87, our loving husband, father, grandfather, and great- grandfather went home to his Lord on January 12, 2019. Born September 2, 1931 in Edmonson County, Kentucky the son of Leland W. and Truly V. (Durbin) Patterson. Pat served 4 years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War on the Hospital Ship, U.S.S. Haven, were he got to tour the world. He worked at Fortino’s, Schmidt’s and Kroger’s super markets. He operated the catering and restaurant service at the Eagles Lodge B.P.O.E. Aerie #1039 in Lansing. He owned and operated Pat’s Pantry from 1984-1994. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed Golfing.
Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Mary A. “Gig” Patterson; 4 children, Kevin (Loraine) Patterson, Karen (Todd) Ehman, Denny (Shelley) Hagman, and Bryan (Cindy) Hagman; 9 grandchildren, Lindsey (Josh) Buckner Denise Hagman, Brad Hagman, Kenzie Ehman, Emily Patterson, Amanda Patterson, Mitchell (Macey) Ehman, Spencer Ehman, and Kaitlyn Patterson; 5 great-grandchildren, Dylan Buckner, Braylan Buckner, Jaiden Cornell, Jordan Cornell, and Jace Cornell; sister, Susie Winsor; and many other family members and friends. Pat was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, and 3 brothers.
Visitation is from 2-4, 6-8 P.M. Tuesday in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Funeral Services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, Jan. 16, at the First United Methodist Church, 3827 Delta River Dr., Lansing with Pastor Lori Sykes officiating. Viewing will be 12-1 P.M. Wednesday at church. Interment will follow at Delta Center Cemetery. Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Pat Patterson.
