Harold L. Swartz, age 86, of Lansing passed September 1, 2017. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Helen Joyce Bartlett and his sister, Donna Antonopulos. He is survived by two sisters: Eloise Douglas and Sharon Folkerth, many nieces and nephews and long supporting friends: Helen Mitchell and Shirley Vallin. Harold was a Navy Medical Corpsman serving on the submarine tender USS Nereus, various hospitals and later as a corpsman instructor. After training at Elgin Watchmakers College, he worked as a clock/watchmaker at Charlotte Jewelry. A long time employee of Sears, he worked several departments including jewelry and plumbing. For many years he served as a Lansing Red Cross volunteer at the switchboard and reception area, disaster relief and blood distribution.
