Gerald "Jerry" Wesley Swartz

Jerry graduated from Bath High School in 1958. Jerry was a dedicated and hardworking individual who spent 30 years working as a security personnel for Oldsmobile. Jerry enjoyed pursuing his hobbies, which included singing in The Chapeltons Gospel Group and turkey hunting with his brother, George. Jerry found solace and community at Bath Baptist Church, where he worshipped and sang in the choir. His faith was an important aspect of his life, providing him with strength and guidance.

Jerry was a loving husband to Thelma Swartz; father to his children, Jerrilyn (Russ) Dahlstrom, Doug (Julie) Swartz and Curt Swartz; grandfather to Jake (Amber) Swartz and Justin (Cortney) Swartz; and great-grandfather to five great-grandchildren. He was also a brother to George (Betty) Swartz, Flora (Leo) Savoie, Eva (Bob) Beckon, Ed (Dianne) Swartz, and Helen (Herold) Potter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Elsie Swartz; brother, Ed Swartz; sister, Flora Savoie; brother-in-law, Leo Savoie; and brother-in-law, Herold Potter.

A memorial service for Jerry will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM, with a half-hour prior visitation from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM, at Bath Baptist Church, 13527 Webster Rd., Bath, MI 48808. Following the service, the family invites you to join them for a reception at the church.
