She married the love of her life James Given on June 19, 1956 in Reno, Nevada.
Elaine received her diploma in Nursing from Henry Ford Hospital and worked for the American Red Cross in Lansing, MI for 27 years.
She loved traveling with her husband James and friends, particularly out west. Elaine was a faithful Tigers fan as well as MSU football and women's basketball.
She loved to read crime novels, and spending time with her family.
Elaine is proceeded in death by her parents.
Elaine is survived by her husband James, daughters, Kate (Graham) Bell of Kents Store, VA, Dawn Horstman from Palmer, AK, and son Michael Given of Lansing, MI. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Alex Given of Venice, FL, grandson, James Given of Clarkston, MI great-grandson, Harrison Bell and sister-in-law, Mary Lou Horwath.
A celebration of life will be held for Elaine on Wednesday May 2, 2018 at 1 p.m. with a visitation 1 hour prior at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing.
