Eileen Joyce Fulton, 80, went to be with her Lord and Savior in Heaven on Saturday, March 18, 2023. Born May 10, 1942, in Traverse City, Michigan to George and Eva (Rickett) Anderson; the sixth of eight children. She graduated from Traverse City High School in 1960 and went on to pursue an education in nursing. Eventually life led her to Lansing, Michigan where she was an operating room nurse at Sparrow Hospital until her retirement. She also shared her knowledge and passion for care with others as a Surgical Technologist instructor at Lansing Community College for many years. Eileen was blessed to have three children; sons James and Paul, and daughter Anita. Ultimately, they meant the world to her, and she would do anything at any time for them without hesitation. Eileen was a long-standing member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. She loved the Lord and her life showed it in everything she did.

Upon meeting the love of her life, Neil Fulton, a disabled Vietnam Veteran, she became an active member in the VFW Post 701 and held many positions in the Ladies VFW Auxiliary #701 including President and longtime Department First Aide Chairman as well as a Past President of the Military Order of the Cootie Auxiliary. She truly was a veteran’s advocate and her service has been appreciated all these years. She had many passions throughout her life. Some of them include church choir, roller skating, oil painting, and lifetime pet lover.
Her vibrant creativity, joy of living, and relationships have positively benefited all who shared her life. Eileen will be remembered as a genuinely giving and loving great-grandmother, grandmother, mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.
Surviving to cherish Eileen’s memory are her sisters Barbara (George) Lints and Sandra (Chuck) Hall; sister-in-law Billie Anderson; brother-in-law Bill Robb; sons James Templin III and Paul (Barbara) Templin, LaVendée Fulton, Matthew (Kathy) Fulton, Corey Fulton, Kristi (Robert) Timmer; grandchildren Ethan Templin-Fulton (Brenna Hopkins), Jacob Templin-Fulton (Ellie Anderson), Nicole (Jacob) Hallock, Jessica Templin (Jacob Reinsmith), Andrew Templin (Ashton Wood), Vickie Timmer and Ellen Timmer; great-grandson, Noah Templin; her beloved cat, Tigger and her beloved puppy, Daisy; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters and brothers, Martha (Anderson) Robinson, Walter Anderson, Fred Anderson, Clayton Anderson, Millie (Anderson) Robb, her husband, Neil Fulton, and her daughter, Anita Templin.
Her earthly remains will be buried in the Memorial Garden at Our Savior Lutheran Church. This will be the temporary resting place until the resurrection of all flesh when his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ returns with power and glory. Until then we know from scripture that her soul rejoices with her Lord in Heaven.
Private services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made in Eileen’s honor to Our Savior Lutheran Church at 7910 E. St. Joe Highway, Lansing, MI 48917.
