Doris (Harr) Feldpausch, age 85, of Lansing, was called home to be with her Lord on May 22, 2023. She was born on July 16, 1937, in Westphalia, Michigan, the daughter of Edwin and Bernita (Thelen) Harr. She married Raymond J. Feldpausch on June 29, 1957. Doris was a member of St. Therese of Lisieux parish. She was a Third Order member of the Secular Franciscans, a Greeter, a Eucharistic Minister to the homebound, and Eucharistic Minister at Sparrow hospital for 25 years. She was a pen pal in the Prison Ministry for many years. Her hobbies included crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, embroidery, gardening, flowers, and baking. Spending time with her family is what she cherished most.
Surviving are her husband Ray of 65 years, daughter Julie (Henry) sons Joe (Adriana), Michael (Tanya), Tim (Carree), Mark (Kriston); grandchildren Corey, Kyle (Vanessa), Emma, Rachel, Nathan, Jacob, Darrell, and Zakk. Doris is also survived by siblings Ken (Sharon), Joan (Larry) Schaefer, Mary (Ron) Simon, Leroy (Sharon), Rick (Maureen), sister-in-law Mary Ann Harr, brother-in-law John Schafer, sister-in-law Darlene Allen, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Gladys Dreps, sister Edna Huggett, brother Paul Harr, brother Bob Harr, sister Janet Schafer, brother-in-law Henry Dreps, and brother-in-law Jim Huggett.
The family would like to thank the staff at Delta Retirement Center and Abigail Hospice for their loving care of Mom.
A visitation for Doris will be held Monday, May 29, 2023 from 4 to 8pm at Gorsline Runciman Tiffany Chapel, 3232 West Saginaw Street, Lansing, with a Franciscan prayer service at 5pm and a vigil rosary at 7pm. A Funeral Liturgy will occur Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, 102 W. Randolph, Lansing, with Father Fain presiding. Visitation will be from 10am to 11am at St. Therese, preceding Mass. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery, Lansing.
