Donald Matthew Lawless

Lansing, MI

Born September 1, 1954 in Sault Ste Marie, MI, the son of Joseph and Mariam Lawless, passed away January 5, 2012 at the age of 56. He was a graduate of DeTour High School and Ferris State College. Retired from Okemos Meijer after many years of service. Don enjoyed Great Lakes freighters and loved playing basketball. He also served as a member of Olivet Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Irene Pennington. Surviving are his beloved wife of 25 years Dena; brothers, Bruce (Elizabeth) Lawless and Wayne Lawless; sister, Pamela (Fred) Payment; brother-in-laws, Bradley (Tammie) Sanders and Brian (Tammy) Branstetter; sister-in-law, Amy Jo Ronneberg; as well as several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 9, 2012 at Olivet Baptist Church, 5455 Willoughby Rd., Lansing with the Rev. Edgar L. Owens officiating.
