On July 2, 2016, Donald R. Hein, Age 87, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Don was employed with Oldsmobile for over 40 years, retiring in 1987. He was a lifelong member of Pennway Church of God, dedicating his life to serving God. He had a great sense of humor with an infectious smile and laugh. He always looked for the best in everyone. Don’s life left a positive impact on all he met. He was “the most wonderful man in the world” and will be missed by all. Born August 19, 1928 in Lansing, Michigan to Jonathan & Ada Belle Hein. He is survived by his loving wife Virginia, children Judy Healan, Barbara (Lawrence) McCoy, Joyce (Ronald) Rowe, Keith (Paula) Hein, Ronald (Lois) Hein, Marilyn (David) Baker, Dawn (Tom) Clausen, Denise Arnold, Maxine (Danny) Bottoms, Kim (Michael) Hanchek, 23 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 6 great great-grandchildren; brothers, Paul (Marietta) Hein, James (Joan) Hein; sister, Martha (Darryl) Middleton. Don was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Beulah Hein; parents; brothers, Lawrence, Richard, Jonathan, David Hein; sister, Doris Hein. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing. Funeral service will be held Thursday, July 7, 2016, at 11 a.m. with visitation one-hour prior at Pennway Church of God, 1101 E. Cavanaugh, Lansing.
