Dolores Laura Neller

Born in New Orleans on May 5, 1928, Dodie moved to Michigan at a young age — but always held a quiet fondness for her birthplace and Southern charm. It was in Michigan where she built a beautiful life, raised her family, and became a trusted name in real estate industry for generations of homebuyers.

With a career defined by integrity, care, and unmatched work ethic, Dodie helped countless families — often across multiple generations — find the homes where their lives would unfold. She had a gift for understanding people, and a remarkable memory for details that made every client feel like family. She remained dedicated to her work into her nineties, proudly selling her final home at the age of 91.

Dodie was the loving mother of Robert Neller, Peaches McCahill, and Michael Neller. She took immense joy in her role as a Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, always showing up with a card, a kind word, or a listening ear.

Through every season of life — in times of joy and in times of trial — Dodie leaned deeply on her faith in the Lord. Her quiet strength was grounded in prayer, and her unwavering trust in God was a guiding light. Her grace and resilience were a reflection of that deep spiritual foundation.

Known for her thoughtful handwritten cards, gracious presence, and sharp sense of style and design, Dodie had a way of making others feel special. Her legacy is one of enduring faith and love.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A memorial mass will be held at 10 am on Tuesday May 6, 2025 at Saint Mary's Cathedral, 219 Seymour Ave, Lansing, MI 48933

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ray McCahill Family Fund, established through the Grand Rapids Community Foundation in honor of Dodie's late son-in-law, Ray McCahill and grandson, Champlin McCahill.
