Dennis dedicated many years of hard work and unwavering commitment to Cooper Body Shop. His strong work ethic and perseverance made a lasting impact on those around him. A man of many talents, Dennis found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Dennis was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His generosity knew no bounds, and he found joy in making a positive impact on the lives of those around him.
When not working hard, Dennis found plenty of ways to enjoy life! He reveled in the adventure of a spontaneous road trip and spent many days tinkering and fixing various projects, showcasing his innate ability to bring things back to life.
He had a fondness for scratch-off lotto tickets (won a few times but never that big one) and cars. His love for cars was evident through the many car shows he attended, and as he got older, he found solace in weekly motorcycle rides with friends. Dennis had a zest for life that only grew with time, and he cherished every moment spent in the company of those he held dear.
Known for his meticulous nature, Dennis also had a particular passion for maintaining a pristine lawn and an organized environment. Everything in his world had to be "just right”, a reflection of his attention to detail and dedication to excellence.
One of his greatest joys in life were his children. This joy was evident from coaching and encouraging his son Nicks’ love of dirt bike racing and by the special bond he had with his daughter Shannon, who was his go to when he needed someone to lean on. He was extremely proud of each of their accomplishments, the families they’ve created and the people they’ve become. But perhaps his biggest joy of all, was each moment spent with his grandchildren whom he adored.
Dennis is survived by his children, daughter, Shannon; son, Nick (Danielle Shamka); his grandchildren Myana and Samiah Collins and River Ozanich; his loving ex-wife and best friend, Marcella, brothers, Walter (MaryKay), David (Laura), Patrick all of Lansing, and best buddy who was always there to help right to the very end, Richard Stevens. He is also survived by his dearest lifelong bonus parents, Bill and Marylou Hicks whom he loved with all his heart, along with many nieces, nephews, as well as a lifetime of dear friends.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Olivia; his sisters Diane and Celine; his nephews Christopher and Paul, and parents, Walter and Anne Ozanich.
